Sweet, Sweet Stickers

We hope you like stickers, because StickerGiant.com was awesome enough to be our Sticker Sponsor and provide lots of these for all WordCamp Philly attendees. Expect a bunch – along with other cool WordPress stickers and pins – to be placed in your bag when you check in on the morning of the event.

Remember to be there between 8:00a and 9:00a to check in, get your bag, and head on into the opening remarks. The rest of the day is in your hands with a great lineup of speakers. Just be sure to put one of these bad boys on your laptop. 😉

And if you haven’t registered yet, there are still a few tickets left!

More Givaways

We had our first giveaway a few weeks ago, where 30 registered (and randomly selected) individuals received sweet t-shirts. But wait – there’s more!

Expect several great giveaways on the day of the event, which is quickly approaching. So far, the lineup includes several great WordPress-related books (kindly donated to us by Wrox Press) and an Amazon Kindle. Some other prizes may still surface, as well. The prizes will be given out during the closing remarks at the end of the day, so make sure you’re still there! If the Phillies make it to the World Series, the game won’t start until 6:30, anyway!

How will we decide who gets the goods? Expect some tricky Halloween and WordPress trivia with your fellow attendees.

Andrew Nacin Presents: What’s Next for WordPress

Andrew Nacin photoAndrew Nacin, one of the juggernaut core developers of WordPress, will be giving the afternoon shared session titled: What’s Next for WordPress.

Andrew will discuss the state of the WordPress project, offer an overview of 3.0 and the upcoming release of 3.1. Andrew will also review the project’s core philosophies and what they tell us about what might be in store for the future of WordPress. You’ll also be introduced to “the WordPress family” — the future of bbPress, BuddyPress, WordPress for mobile, and more. He’ll even cover making WordPress.org a better resource for all.

Andrew has an abundance of WordPress knowledge (some even speculate he’s half robot) and his presentation is not to be missed! And as always don’t forget to #blamenacin.

Registration Reminder

Don’t forget that if you want to be guaranteed a t-shirt in your size, you need to register by October 10. The t-shirts are ready to go, and we need to order them at that time with the sizes that we have. The remaining sizes will be guessed, and we promise to match you with your size as best we can. So – If you register beyond October 10 (this Sunday), you will certainly still receive a shirt, but we just can’t guarantee that it will be in your exact desired size. So get registered!
